Primary Job Function

Multi-modality technologist is a licensed medical professional operating X-Ray and computer tomography equipment. As the technologist, some of the duties include; monitoring radiology/ computed tomography supplies, adhere to all protocol practice per facility, and maintain appropriate levels of radiation per machine. CT/X-Ray Technologist will perform all Radiologic/CT studies on a variety of patients ranging from Pediatric to Geriatrics. Technologist will provide knowledge and competency of all CT/X-Ray protocols and procedures outlined per facility. While working alongside physicians and medical staff we strive to provide the best quality scans and best care imaginable.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up and operate all Radiologic equipment
• Ability to lift and position patients to obtain the Radiologic images
• Provides all quality control checks that aligns with companies’ policy and procedures
• Maintains all medical records, patient logs, and equipment logs
• Follow all Infection Control guidelines outlined by facility
• Ensures operation of radiology and computerized tomography equipment by completing PM requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Maintains production and quality of radiographic and/or CT images by following established standards and procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations per facility
• Explains all studies to patients prior to the exam, provides resources to patients and family members about the CT exam
• Prepares patient for X-Ray/CT procedures by positioning patient; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors, moving equipment into specified position to obtain required images per Radiologist
• Other duties assigned as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Certified through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS Certification
• Graduate from an Accredited Radiology Program
• Preferred CT experience needed
